1838 – «Gasthaus zum Dampfschiff»
Melchior Zimmermann builds the house as the «Gasthaus zum Dampfschiff».
1850 – «Hotel zur Eintracht»
Jacob Josef Zimmermann – a teacher, horse owner, courier, municipal clerk and corporation clerk – takes over the hotel, builds a three-storey wing on each side and renames it «Hotel zur Eintracht».
1867 – «The Concord Hotel»
Once again, the hotel is extended with an annexe, once again it changes its name - and is now called The Concord Hotel.
1883 – From «Hotel Weber» to «Du Lac»
After several changes of ownership, Fritz Faulstich from the Kingdom of Württemberg takes over the hotel, now renamed «Hotel Weber», and runs it as a summer hotel. He gives it the name «Du Lac».
1924 – «Seehof Du Lac»
The hall is remodelled, all «guest rooms» have hot and cold running water, the south-facing rooms and the restaurant rooms have central heating. The house is renamed «Seehof du Lac».
1980/1981 – Monument protection
The Bammert family, then the owner, sells the hotel property to Gerhard Pracht. The building is placed under a preservation order.
2010 – Major renovation
Roberta and Gerhard Pracht realise various renovations in the hotel. Among other things, all the rooms are completely renovated.
2013 – Hotel and Restaurant
The Jonuzi family takes over the hotel on a lease and runs it as a hotel and restaurant. In 2016, they introduced year-round operation, and in 2018 they entrusted Clara Merkel with the role of hostess.
2018 – One of the best 3-star hotels in Switzerland
The renowned Swiss newspaper NZZ am Sonntag recognises the Seehof Hotel Du Lac as one of the 50 best 3-star hotels in Switzerland.
2024 – Tripadvisor: A top 3 hotel in Weggis
The users of Tripadvisor have decided: In 2024, the Seehof Hotel Du Lac is one of the top 3 hotels with 3 stars in Weggis – in 7th place out of a total of 16 hotels in Weggis. Four of the six higher-ranked hotels are 4-star establishments.
